I’ve been spending way too much time on Pinterest lately which, of course, makes me want to create my own masterpieces. Although I’m not sure I have the skill to achieve the same kind of results as these women do, one of my goals for the upcoming year is to use more power tools.
Today I’m sharing some of my favorite rustic inspirational projects. Each project has detailed plans on how to build it so make sure you check out the links to get the details. Just click on the heading and it should take you there!
I love this shelf and how she has it staged. I could also see it holding toys or made into a sofa table if the dimensions were altered. How about that reclaimed wood? Don’t you just love it?
Rachel at Shades of Blue has a natural artistic eye and is one of my favorites when it comes to home decor and furniture refinishing. I know her island isn’t rustic, but it fits in well with the farmhouse theme. She has bar stools on one side of the island for the kids and the other side has a hidden trash can storage area and decorative shelves.
Ana White is The Girl when it comes to simple and affordable DIY designs. She and her husband were featured on the DIY network as they built a home in a very remote area of Alaska. You should check it out if you haven’t seen it.
What’s not to love about this cute pallet coffee table? I love how simple yet functional it is. I’m thinking this would work well in our living room…or maybe the game room. Looks like it could stand up to a bunch of 10 and 12 year old boys. Hint hint Stew 🙂
Here’s another project designed by Ana White and built by Melissa at The Happier Homemaker. Melissa also has a link to another great farmhouse table so be sure to check that out, too. Our farmhouse table needs a bench and last year I got quotes for having one built. Umm, I think I can build one of these for a quarter of the cost I had been quoted! And don’t you just love the rustic look it has going on?
