Spring has sprung!
Hello friends! It seems like I’ve fallen off the face of the earth over the last couple of weeks so I thought I would share some pictures of what we’ve been up to.
The boys and I traveled to Georgia for Easter weekend while poor Stew had to stay home to work call.
The boys did their annual Easter egg hunt with cousin Noah. As you can see, they found a ton of eggs, but they were all empty. Our youngest has a sugar malabsorption issue and he can’t have candy which makes holidays tough in our house.
Cousin Noah smiled for the pictures, but look at my two goofballs. I took ten pics and they were all similar to these two I’m sharing.
And my dad’s barn… You know how I love barns!
This past weekend we headed out to the farm. It was such a beautiful day. A little chilly, but the sun was out, the trees were blooming, the grass was turning green, and the cows were a bellowing.
Oh my. I’m a horse girl and I never knew cows could be so loud! The hubs loved listening to them though, but I wanted to turn down the volume a notch or two! It must have been feeding time or milking time or something.
The younger had fun flying his boomerang…
And catching tadpoles…
Look at all of these tadpoles! And there were about a gazillion more!
The oldest practiced target shooting and played a little football…
Lucy Goose was play bowing and barking, “Ain’t got time for no picture. Need to play ball NOW!!!”
After several days of rain, the sky was gorgeous!
A bed of tulips…
I can’t wait to see what color they are!
And a red bud tree…
And since I’m sharing spring pictures I thought I would include a picture of my primroses at the house.
My grandmother had these in her garden and my mom took some and planted them at the house where I grew up. When my parents moved to their new house, Mom took a little piece to transplant there. After Stew and I bought our first house, my mom gave me several cuttings that had originally come from my grandmother’s flowerbeds and I brought this little guy along when we moved two years ago. I was happy to see he made it through the winter!
Hope ya’ll have a good one! I have a couple of cool projects I’ll be sharing soon so keep an eye out for them.
