Hey friends! Since we currently don’t have any home projects going on I thought I would share some DIY makeovers from my fellow bloggers. Each makeover has a tutorial on how to achieve the look and the products they used. You can click on the name of the blog or the picture to take you the detailed tutorials. Hope you enjoy!
Candice from Just The Wood transformed a modern dark stained media console into a focal point in her living room with this bright yellow paint. She also has a tutorial on how to achieve the cloudy matte finish on her walls.
Roots and Wings Furniture worked some magic on a beat up steamer trunk using my favorite General Finishes products. Check out the inside to see how she cleaned it up and removed the old musty smell.
Molly, at Just a Little Creativity, did the cutest boy’s bedroom makeover. Don’t you just love this Dr. Who Tardis dresser? She also has an awesome Star Wars dresser. If you’re looking for ideas for a boy’s bedroom then you most definitely need to check this out.
Paige at Southern Curated finally found her dream buffet. Like most old pieces it had led a rough life, but she worked some magic and transformed it with some Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and Annie Sloan Dark Wax.
My friend Michelle is one creative gal. I always love to see what she’s working on and she’s much better than I am about sharing progress pictures on Facebook. She hand painted the top, front and, sides of this French Provincial desk to give it a very detailed, custom designed look.
Betsy at Happily Ever After used General Finishes Chalk Paint on this antique dresser turned craft cabinet. I love this shade of blue. I once had a china cabinet that I painted a similar shade.
I often come across pretty chairs at the thrift store, but I never really know what I would do with one if I bought it. Pili at My Sweet Things salvaged this old chair and brought it back to life using DecoArt’s Chalky Finish Paints. And those stripes? She painted them on! Turned out beautiful, didn’t it?
Hope you enjoyed the roundup and found some new techniques and inspiration along the way!
